"Let's speak Italian" is the name of the podcast I downloaded last summer, because I collect hobbies like other folks collect stamps. Do I follow through on these hobbies? Not all the time, very hit or miss. But I did go to Little Italy last summer, as it was the closest I thought I would get to hearing the language spoken in native territory. But I kept getting thrown off by its proximity to Chinatown. (speaking of proximity, peep how close Sicily is to Africa. know we know why Robert DeNiro loves him some sista love).
Fast forward a year, and tomorrow I leave for my spring break trip to Italy to visit my friends Angelica and Ellie. I've taken as many precautions I can to safeguard against robbery; I though London was NYC circa 1977, but apparently Italy is in dire need for "Guiliani-time". Instead of running for president, might I suggest he clean up up mother country. So to all you readers out there keep a sista in your prayers that I have a safe trip. Also, please pray that I ease up on all the desserts and chocolates I've been eating since being in Europe. I promise to make a change after this 50% off chocolate Easter egg candy.
At least I'm being economical about my vices.
And on a completely different issue, Imus of the "nappy headed ho's" has been dropped by CBS.
Yeah, I can't believe it either. Maybe this bodes well for Obama somehow.
