Remember back in high school when you were given a summer reading list to complete? And like no body read it, so when the first day of school rolled around the teacher was fuming as she tried to think up a new lesson plan on the spot?

Well my summer reading list isn't like that.
Perfect for liming at the beach, sitting on the stoop, or riding the train. Don't be surprised that while reading you might let out an, "oh snap", or miss your stop on the bus because you were so deep in the text.
This is what I'm reading. I hope you read some of it too. And I want to know what ya'll are reading as well. So put the Nora Roberts, Dan Brown, and R.M Stein (throwback) down and pick these up:

Supreme Discomfort: The Divided Soul of Clarence Thomas- by Kevin Merida and Michael Fletcher . side bar: FINALLY a bio about my new obsession, move over Bizzy Bone- Brother Justice Thomas, a man who not only co-founded his college's Black Student Union but also named his son Jamal( the original righteous black child name)! Only to become a Supreme Court Justice as famous for his extremely polarizing stances, not hiring Black Studies majors (guess I'm out of a job), and putting his pubic hairs on Anita Hill's cans of coke. dayum.

I had to return to the classics for a literary soundtrack:
